Job summary

MNP is seeking a Co-op or Intern starting in January 2027 within the Assurance & Accounting team. This role offers exposure to collaborations with a national accounting and advisory firm, focusing on building foundational skills in finance and client service.

As a Co-op/Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in compilations, audits, tax and financial reporting, while working with dedicated professionals across the firm.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration.
• Pursuing prerequisites for CPA PEP.
• Previous accounting office experience is an asset.
• Customer service experience is an asset.
• Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and ASPE.
• Set-up files for new clients and manage multiple files.
• Perform AR, AP, asset acquisition/disposition and payroll walk-through.
• Summarize current financial status with balance sheets and P&L statements.
• Assess appropriateness of audit evidence for expenses, revenues and other items.
• Review and correct discrepancies in financial entries and reports.
• Establish charts of accounts and post entries.
• Prepare correspondence, client summaries and engagement findings.
• Collaborate with client engagement team and build client relationships.
