Job summary

MNP LLP in Vancouver, Canada, is offering an Intern or Co-op position in Private Enterprise Services for January 2027. The role focuses on assurance & accounting, with exposure to IFRS/GAAP/ASPE, and opportunities to work with diverse clients and advance CPA prerequisites.

Responsibilities include client file setup, audits, compilations, tax, payroll walks, and preparing financial reports, while developing technical skills in accounting and financial reporting within a supportive team

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting/finance preferred).
• Pursuing prerequisites for CPA PEP.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in areas such as compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Learn IFRS/GAAP/ASPE concepts and apply them in practice.
• Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files.
• Perform AR/AP, asset acquisition/disposition and payroll walkthroughs with clients.
• Summarize financial status with balance sheets and P&L statements.
• Assess audit evidence for expenses and revenues.
• Review discrepancies in financial entries and reports.
• Establish charts of accounts and posting entries.
• Prepare correspondence, technical reports and client summaries.
• Collaborate with client engagement team and build client relationships.
• Contribute to process improvements using MNP tools and systems.
• Maintain flexibility to travel as needed.
