Job summary

MNP LLP in Victoria, BC seeks an Intern or Co-op student to support the Assurance and Accounting team during Winter 2028. You will contribute to financial reporting tasks, learn IFRS/GAAP concepts, and assist with client engagements in a fast-paced firm.

This on-site role emphasizes practical accounting experience, collaboration with professionals, and developing technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration with accounting/finance focus.
• Prerequisites for CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
• Previous accounting-related office experience is an asset.
• Customer service or client service experience is an asset.
• Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Develop knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and ASPE as applicable.
• Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files.
• Perform AR, AP, asset-related tasks and payroll walkthroughs with clients.
• Summarize financial status with balance sheets and P&L reports.
• Prepare client correspondence and engagement findings.
