Job summary

isgSearch is seeking an Accounting Consultant to support the finance team in downtown Toronto. The role focuses on month-end close, month-end analysis, and financial reporting, initially on a contract basis with potential to go permanent.

You should be CPA enrolled, with strong Excel skills and experience in financial services or professional services. On-site four days a week, you will collaborate with stakeholders, complete reconciliations, and ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• CPA enrolled at minimum; CPA completed would be an asset.
• Experience in financial services or professional services strongly preferred.
• Strong month end accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and explain variances.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working on site 4 days per week in downtown Toronto.

Role status:

Hourly rate:

$40 to $50/hour, incorporated rate

Our client is looking for a strong Accounting Consultant to support the finance team in downtown Toronto. The role is primarily focused on month end close, with some month end analysis and financial reporting. The position is initially structured as a contract, with the potential to become permanent based on business needs and fit.

Principal tasks and responsibilities include:

• Support month end close activities and ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reporting.
• Perform month end analysis and investigate variances.
• Complete account reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy.
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis for management.
• Work with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting and reporting issues.
• Support process improvements and other finance initiatives as required.

Qualifications and pre-requisites:

• CPA enrolled at minimum. Completed CPA would be an asset.

Additional information or perks:

6-month rolling contract with potential to convert to permanent.
