Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Financial Analyst for a 6-month contract in downtown Toronto, with 2 days in-office per week. The role supports monthly close, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial modeling to guide leadership.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance with 2–5 years of corporate accounting or financial analysis experience. CPA progress and ERP experience are preferred assets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.

Our client is looking for a Financial Analyst for a 6 month contract.

About the Opportunity

• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and expense accounting as needed.
• Develop financial models, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis for leadership.
• Help document and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Partner with operational teams to provide financial guidance and ensure accurate reporting.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial analysis, or public accounting.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP / IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is an asset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
