As Ontario Transit Group, we are now mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030.
The project will strengthen Ontario’s economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction.
What is the project?
- A six-kilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River).
- Stations:
- One above-ground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station.
- Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations.
- Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown).

Job Description
As an Accounting Clerk at Ontario Transit Group (OTG), you will play a vital role in our finance team, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions and reports. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Accurately process invoices and their supporting documents, maintaining high attention to detail to ensure correctness.
- Expense Reports: Handle and process employee expense reports, verifying that they meet company guidelines and reconciling them efficiently.
- Accounts Payable: Manage the accounts payable function, ensuring timely payments and resolving payment discrepancies.
- Accuracy Assurance: Review and check reports, figures, and postings for accuracy, promptly identifying and correcting discrepancies.
- Reconciliation: Perform various reconciliations within the Accounting Department, assisting in keeping our financial records in harmony.
- Record Management: Maintain filing and record systems in an organized manner to facilitate easy retrieval and documentation management.
- Vendor and Management Interaction: Collaborate and communicate effectively with both our management team and vendors to ensure a smooth financial process.
Qualifications
- A college or university degree in finance or accounting OR 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, ensuring familiarity with financial processes and best practices. Fast learner, able to adopt new software.
- Experience using Excel is a must-have.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, particularly in handling large volumes of data and transactions.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- A commitment to a high level of professionalism, especially when interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
