About this Position

We are seeking a temporary Accounting Clerk to join our Finance department. This role involves supporting various accounting and banking activities to ensure accurate financial operations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Review and verify banking activities and report Cash and Investment account balances.
  2. Investigate and follow up on queries with banks or Operations.
  3. Prepare and update Peoplesoft and Mainframe entries.
  4. Prepare bank transfers, EFT, and wire payments.
  5. Release electronic deposit files to the bank.
  6. Record bank activities in the General Journal (Peoplesoft).
  7. Prepare monthly reconciliations.
  8. Verify and download internal reports related to bank activities.
  9. Distribute and replenish petty cash.
  10. Provide backup support to Ops Accounting Clerk 2 (PFSLC).
  11. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  2. Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  3. High accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
  4. Excellent data entry skills.
  5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Good organizational and time management skills.
  8. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  9. Self-organized and proactive.
