Job summary

Distinct | North America is seeking a seasoned Manager in public accounting in Canada to own engagements across compilations, reviews, audits and tax with direct client contact and access to Partners.

You will mentor staff, manage engagements, and help privately owned businesses navigate decisions beyond the year-end file. This Canada-based role in the Kitchener region offers broad exposure and leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Canadian public accounting experience.
• Experience across compilations, reviews, audits and corporate tax.
• Strong file review and client management skills.
• ASPE and ASNPO experience.
• CaseWare, TaxPrep, QuickBooks or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Own engagements across compilations, reviews, audits and tax with direct client contact.
• Review staff work and mentor junior team members.
• Support tax planning for clients and assist privately owned businesses with year-end decisions.
• Coordinate with Partners to ensure engagement quality and timelines.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships in the region.
