Our client, an established public accounting firm in Vancouver, is looking to add anAudit Managerto its team.
The Role
- Manage and review audit, review, compilation, and tax engagements
- Lead files from planning through completion and ensure deadlines are met
- Apply strong knowledge ofASPEacross client engagements
- Work with IFRS and ASNPO engagements where applicable
- Review personal, trust, and corporate tax returns, along with GST, T4, and T5 filings
- Identify and resolve accounting and tax issues in collaboration with Senior Managers and Partners
- Manage client relationships and respond to accounting, tax, and financial reporting questions
- Delegate work effectively across staff levels
- Review staff work and provide ongoing coaching and technical guidance
- Mentor Senior Accountants and junior team members
- Manage multiple competing deadlines and client expectations
- Support business development and relationship-building initiatives
What You Bring
- CPA designation
- Minimum1 year of Manager-level public practice experience
- StrongASPEexperience
- Experience independently managing audit and assurance engagements
- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards
- Experience reviewing and mentoring staff
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines independently
Nice to Have
- IFRS experience
- At least one Canadian tax season with working knowledge of Canadian taxation
- Experience with personal, corporate, and trust tax returns
- Experience with CaseWare, CaseView, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office
- ASNPO experience
