Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Payroll compliance and strong English communication skills.
• Experience with ERP and payroll systems, manufacturing context is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records in accounting systems and ensure compliance.
• Manage weekly and monthly account reconciliations and variance investigations.
• Support month-end close activities including journal entries and GL maintenance.

Your Responsibilities

• You’ll maintain accurate financial records within accounting systems, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• You’ll manage weekly and monthly account reconciliations, investigate variances, and support cost and inventory reporting.
• You’ll support month‑end close activities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• You’ll analyze fixed expenses, prepare accruals, and contribute to budgeting and financial planning activities.
• You’ll coordinate weekly plant payroll processing, ensuring accurate recording of payroll expenses, disbursements, and accruals.
• You’ll collaborate with finance, payroll, and operations teams through regular management meetings and variance reviews.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably within manufacturing.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation or relevant PCP coursework is an asset.
• Strong experience working with ERP and payroll systems.
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month‑end close processes.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate financial discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a collaborative, proactive approach.
