Altis Technology Canada is seeking a Supervisor, Accounting to lead the accounting team, manage month-end close, and drive process improvements. The role partners with finance leaders to ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls. A focus on developing people and supporting growth initiatives is emphasized.

The position is a contract role in Toronto with work arrangement to be confirmed. Strong English communication and CPA designation are required.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead your team: You'll establish priorities, coach accounting professionals, and support their development.
• Oversee financial reporting: You'll manage month-end and quarter-end close activities, reconciliations, and consolidated reporting.
• Strengthen financial controls: You'll maintain accurate financial records, review general ledger reconciliations, and improve internal controls.
• Manage asset accounting: You'll oversee capital assets, IFRS 16 leases, depreciation, and intangible asset reporting.
• Partner across departments: You'll collaborate with FP&A and business leaders on budgeting, variance analysis, and financial improvements.
• Support growth initiatives: You'll contribute to acquisition activities, accounting integrations, and process enhancements.

Skills and Qualifications

• 58 years of post-qualification accounting experience, including financial reporting and general ledger close.
• CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, with SAP and BlackLine experience considered assets.
• Collaborative leadership style and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
