Adecco Professional has partnered with our client in the legal arena, to assist them with a temporary-to-permanent Accountant job opening in Milton, ON. This full-time opportunity is best suited for someone who brings experience from a law or professional services firm and drive to be an integral part of the team – client centric approach is key for the fit of the successful candidate. You will be doing daily accounting functions in a high volume and fast paced capacity while interacting with the clients at times.

For this Accountant job opening in Milton, ON some of the highlights of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Full cycle of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Process payments to vendors on behalf of clients
  • Cash and income receipts
  • Perform various trust account and bank reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely completion
  • Prepare financial reports and financial statements, update and track budgets
  • Communicate with internal and external clients and vendors on various matters
  • Assist with payroll administration
  • Trust compliance and reporting
  • Assist with other accounting related functions and team support where needed such as onboarding new staff, team building events, mentor junior staff, act as a point-of-contact for the team on office/IT related matters.

The selected incumbent for the Accountant job opening in Milton, ON will meet the following requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Experience in the legal and/or professional services industry is required
  • You are technically savvy with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and QuickBooks
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and spoken; this includes strong interpersonal skills to work with and communicate with the lawyers and clients
  • You are highly organized, great at managing your time and prioritizing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional eye for detail taking pride in your levels of accuracy
  • A problem solver with strong analytical abilities
