Purpose
The primary responsibility is to grow segment chemical sales within the assigned territory. Success is measured not only by total revenue and profit compared to the prior year and budget but also by growth in specific product lines identified as focus areas. Product growth should primarily be achieved through specialty and some commodity ingredients, working with designated contract partner suppliers.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect the appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the following items:
- Achieve profitable revenue growth, including new business development, while maintaining existing sales.
- Meet gross margin targets through revenue growth, effective pricing management, and optimal product line mix.
- Develop, execute, and manage sales plans, sales budgets, and expense budgets.
- Prospect and develop new business focusing on specialty products and high-growth applications.
- Establish, monitor, and close on new business targets aligned with long-term growth, updating progress weekly in CRM.
- Engage with customers and suppliers through meetings, interactions with Purchasing and R&D, industry events, and strategic entertainment.
- Collaborate with channel partners to fulfill customer purchasing requirements.
- Maintain CRM data and sales statistics, including sales calls, pipelines, contacts, joint projects, and pricing requests.
- Use Outlook calendar to organize activities, track sales statistics, and facilitate team collaboration.
- Coordinate with Technical Service, Customer Service, Sales Manager, Segment Manager, and Suppliers to meet customer needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Demonstrate effective interaction across functions and levels within customers, suppliers, and internal teams at Ravago Chemicals North America.

- Experience in formulation and/or sales across diverse applications.

- Success in developmental/R&D sales and market share growth through tactical selling strategies.
- Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Broad knowledge of materials, solutions, and processing across segments.
- Self-motivated with minimal need for supervision, capable of autonomous work.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel 30-50%, depending on location.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation skills, and professional presence, including participation in industry associations and networking events.
Minimum Qualifications / Education / Experience / Certifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field related to Chemical Sales (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Microbiology) or Business. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Systems Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and CRM.
Work Environment / Conditions
This role primarily operates remotely. Candidates should be comfortable working in shared spaces, managing noise levels, and working beyond standard hours as required by business demands.
