Required

The incumbent is responsible for prospecting, soliciting, developing, and maintaining business relationships with strategic clients in the commercial sector. They promote and sell products and services to grow the business, using their technical knowledge and business skills to negotiate and engage in complex agreements. They ensure a balance between sales objectives, risk management, portfolio profitability, and client satisfaction. Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Initiate, develop, and maintain personalized relationships with clients to promote and sell Desjardins' products and services.
  2. Serve as an account manager, acting as an intermediary between the business centre and clients, ensuring satisfaction and proper usage of products and services, analyzing dissatisfaction sources, and proposing solutions.
  3. Identify client needs, develop tailored solutions, and negotiate conditions.
  4. Recommend strategies to increase business volume, manage risks, and strengthen relationships.
  5. Use intelligence to identify business development opportunities.
  6. Execute promotional activities and participate in public relations and community engagement.
  7. Attend to client needs, seize opportunities, and refer clients as needed.
  8. Adhere to policies, standards, and laws governing financial products and services, ensuring prudent risk management.

What You Bring To The Table
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • At least six years of relevant experience (other qualifications may be considered)
  • Knowledge of French
  • Understanding of financial, economic, policy, and legislative developments
  • Market and business environment analysis skills
  • Financial analysis skills
  • Knowledge of credit risk, loan and guarantee contracts, and business financing practices
  • Familiarity with policies, legislation, and standards related to financial products and services
  • Understanding of the referral process and government assistance programs
  • Effective communication, results-driven, and interpersonal skills
