Description

Responsible for managing the growth of product sales and market share with assigned accounts within an assigned territory. Develops and maintains large contractor accounts and reports on market opportunities and developments. Looking for applicants in Quebec or Ontario area.

Location: Canada - Remote

Key Responsibilities

  • Must be Bilingual in French and English.
  • Complete sales to achieve corporate goals, objectives, and action plans. Seek new customer opportunities and maintain current customer relationships. Provide highly technical, effective sales presentations.
  • Provide customer service as necessary through warranty service, training, open houses, product application and sizing, informing customers of product changes, and entering and quoting/obtaining orders from customers.
  • Coordinate and attend tradeshows and territory seminars.
  • Achieve continual sales and profit growth within the assigned territory.
  • Establish new relationships to earn customers’ equipment specifications.
  • Participate in pricing negotiations and purchasing contracts.
  • Research and report competitive threats and provide responses.
  • Assist in steering product development to the marketplace and toward customer needs and opportunities.
  • Provide short- and long-term product forecasts to meet sales objectives.
  • Contract with independent representatives to achieve sales goals.
  • Work with product teams to develop products that will grow sales and profitability. Provide feedback to product managers.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure marketing collateral, packaging, catalogs, and Internet presence meet customer demand.
  • Monitor and maintain sales goals and expenses.
  • Develop and manage the distribution footprint to achieve sales goals.
  • Administer the warranty approval process to improve warranty rates while maintaining fair evaluation of products submitted for warranty.
  • Work closely with distributor branches on sales, service, and warranties management.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Fluent in French and English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
  • Effective communication skills in person-to-person and small group situations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion with business information.
  • Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Utilize common-sense understanding to follow written or diagrammed instructions.
  • Deal with problems involving several known variables in routine situations.
  • Plan work methods and sequences; assist in planning work for others within a limited area.
  • Make decisions of minor and major importance affecting work operations and clientele.
  • Perform some moderately repetitive tasks.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, water treatment, and/or pumps is a plus.
  • Use noncomplex machines and equipment (adding machines, calculators, copy/fax machines, etc.).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, product management, or related field (required).
  • Technical aptitude (required).
  • Knowledge in water treatment (preferred).
  • Travel required: 50%-60%

Computer Skills

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Certificates and Licenses

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Willing to obtain CWQA certification.
