Job summary

Noramco in Winnipeg, Manitoba is seeking an Account Manager to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The role reports to the Branch Manager and focuses on expanding the customer base and delivering solid quotations while providing product support.

The candidate should have post-secondary education and proven inside sales experience in the Canadian electrical industry, with strong communication and organization skills. A team player with initiative is required.

Responsibilities

  • Contact current and prospective clients to identify needs for existing and/or new products.
  • Respond to and process incoming calls and orders.
  • Open new accounts and maintain existing customer base.
  • Make proactive outbound calls.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and new products; provide quotations.
  • Provide basic technical product support.
  • Build strong relationships for repeat opportunities.
  • Liaise with suppliers on project and non-stocking opportunities.

Status: Regular, Full time

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Job Description

Reports to: Branch Manager

We are looking for an Account Manager who enjoys a fast paced environment with a desire to improve themselves and advance within the company. The incumbent will be a team player who demonstrates initiative and a positive professional attitude and manner.

TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contacts current and prospective clients to identify their need for existing and/or new products
  • Responds to and processes incoming calls and orders
  • Opens new accounts and maintains existing customer base
  • Makes proactive outbound calls.
  • Maintains knowledge base on current products and learns about new products
  • Provides pricing quotations and follows-up on quotes
  • Provides basic technical support on products
  • Builds strong relationships for repeat opportunities
  • Ability to liaise with suppliers on project and non-stocking product opportunities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-Secondary education
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Previous Sales/Inside Sales experience in the Canadian Electrical Industry is required
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop long-term client relationship
  • A highly professional approach to business
  • Exceptional organization skills, ability to multitask and a keen eye for detail
  • Technically proficient to quickly learn and understand products
  • Ability to develop quotations & project bid packaging / pricing / presentations
  • Knowledge of electrical industry would be an asset
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed and a sense of team spirit
