Venus Consultancy in Toronto is seeking an Account Manager to grow key accounts in the manufacturing sector. You will develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers, manage orders, and support pricing and profitability goals.

As you learn our ERP system, you will input inquiries, RFQs, quotes, and purchase orders, analyze data, and expedite shipments. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional work experience in industrial distribution, international trade, or manufacturing.
  • College diploma or university degree in business or engineering is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

Role: Account manager

Location: Midtown Toronto, ON

It's a Full-time, On-site position

Role Overview

This Sales Team role typically begins with order entry tasks while learning the ins and outs of our industry, business, and products. Through extensive training, you will become an expert at utilizing our ERP system to input inquiries & RFQs, quotes, sales & purchase orders, analyze data, and expedite order shipments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Maintain customer and supplier information and intelligence.
  • Perform sales and supply chain analysis.
  • Monitor sales and industry trends and take strategic action.
  • Enter customer inquiries and supplier RFQs.
  • Create and maintain item masters.
  • Expedite RFQ requests to ensure quotation targets are met.
  • Define pricing strategy, perform pricing analysis, and prepare customer quotations.
  • Provide feedback to suppliers on all RFQ offers.
  • Possess strong negotiation skills.
  • Process customer orders and purchase orders.
  • Manage all sales orders and purchase orders by confirming all terms & conditions and technical specifications in a timely manner.
  • Expedite orders with suppliers and communicate shipment priorities.
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies with internal/external stakeholders and ensure the orders reflect any resolution.
  • Coordinate customer service issues related to claims with our internal quality and invoicing departments.
  • Responsible for account profitability.
  • Maintain supplier cost lists and standard customer price lists.
  • Maintain and update current customer and vendor contact lists.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure all account objectives are met.
Other Responsibilities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure standard operating procedure manuals are up to date and reflect current processes.
  • Assist with knowledge and information management using our enterprise software and other resources.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • 3-5 years of professional work experience (preferably in industrial distribution, international trade, or manufacturing).
  • College diploma or university degree (preferably in business or engineering).
  • Ability to work in a team environment and complete tasks within an established time frame.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage many competing priorities at once.
  • Multidisciplinary self-starter with the ability to make decisions aligned with corporate goals and company brand.
  • A change agent who brings passion to the role.

  • Experience with ERP, database software, and reporting tools (such as SAP, Epicor, MS Access, Crystal Reports, or SQL).
