About Hamilton Sports Group

Hamilton Sports Group (HSG) brings professional sport and live entertainment together through the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Forge FC. Based in Hamilton, Ontario, we create memorable experiences for fans, partners and community—on game day and throughout the year.

Our teams are grounded in proud histories and focused on what comes next. We are building a connected, modern organization where strong ideas travel across teams, decisions are informed by insight, and people work together to grow the game and our impact in Hamilton and beyond.

The opportunity

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are looking for an Account Executive, Ticket Sales and Business Development to grow revenue across season memberships, groups, premium seating and related programs while providing reliable service to assigned accounts. You will prospect companies, schools, youth sport organizations, unions, associations, community and newcomer groups and employee programs; match their needs to the right ticket solutions; and carry relationships from the first conversation through purchase, fulfilment, game day and follow-up. This role is suited to a commercially minded relationship builder who combines consistent outreach with organized account care and disciplined execution.

What Success Looks Like

  • Individual and Ticketing team revenue goals are achieved or exceeded across season memberships, groups, premium products and new business.

  • A strong, qualified prospect base is established across Hamilton and the Greater Hamilton Area through data, outbound outreach, meetings, referrals and networking.

  • Assigned clients receive responsive service and accurate fulfilment, while new group programs generate measurable attendance, revenue and relationship growth supported by accurate CRM records.

What You’ll Own

  • Drive new season-membership, group, premium and related ticket revenue through targeted prospecting, cold outreach, meetings, referrals and networking.

  • Manage client relationships and day-to-day account needs from the initial conversation through purchase, fulfilment, game day and post-event follow-up.

  • Develop tailored group concepts and sales strategies for business, school, youth sport, union, association, community and employee-appreciation audiences.

  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly and quarterly revenue, activity and pipeline goals across assigned products and programs.

  • Maintain disciplined CRM practices by recording every lead, source, touchpoint, commitment and follow-up in Salesforce.

  • Work closely with Ticket Sales, Service and Ticket Operations colleagues to maximize opportunities and ensure transactions are processed and fulfilled accurately.

  • Represent the organization at sales, networking and community events to expand relationships and generate qualified opportunities.

  • Attend all Hamilton Tiger-Cats home games and support client service, group activations, hospitality and other revenue-generating initiatives.

How You’ll Work

Reporting to the Director, Ticket Sales & Service, you will own a portfolio of prospects and clients while working closely with sales, service, ticket operations and game-day teams. The role combines independent market development with shared team goals, clear activity expectations and a consistent presence across Hamilton's business, sport and community networks.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated sales capability, including prospecting, building a qualified pipeline, closing business and achieving revenue goals.

  • A customer-first approach and evidence of building, managing and strengthening client relationships.

  • Strong knowledge of Hamilton and the Greater Hamilton Area, supported by relevant personal or professional relationships.

  • Clear, confident communication and the ability to recommend practical solutions for different business and community audiences.

  • Strong organization, follow-through, CRM discipline and sound judgment across a high volume of opportunities, events and deadlines.

  • Reliable access to a vehicle and the ability to work all Tiger-Cats home games, evenings and weekends when required.

Assets—not Requirements

  • Experience in professional sport, live events or another ticketed, membership, hospitality or customer-focused environment.

  • Experience with Salesforce, Ticketmaster Archtics or comparable CRM and ticketing platforms.

  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, sport administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.

What You Can Expect From HSG

  • A visible role in growing Tiger-Cats attendance, revenue and business relationships across TigerTown.

  • The opportunity to shape group concepts and new-business programs from prospecting through game-day delivery and follow-up.

  • Cross-functional exposure to sales strategy, account service, ticketing operations, hospitality and live-event execution in a performance-focused team environment.
