Job summary

Traction in Winnipeg is seeking an Account Development Specialist to build and maintain key relationships with existing and new customers, promoting Traction parts and programs. You will implement district, regional and national sales initiatives and provide market insights.

You will conduct calls on installers, collaborate with sales teams, develop plans with store managers, gather market intelligence, and contribute to pricing strategies while supporting collections and buying compliance.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of sales experience or internal knowledge.
  • Ability to travel up to 70%
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of HV industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Call on installers to sell Traction parts and programs. Collaborate with various sales teams at the regional and corporate levels
  • Implement sales development plans and support District and Regional strategies and objectives: deployment of marketing programs and promotions
  • Collaborate with District Sales Manager and Store managers to develop sales development plans for growing business with existing customers in their assigned territory
  • Gather market intelligence and report service or product issues to assigned store managers and district sales manager
  • Make pricing recommendations on accounts and assist in collections and in ensuring accounts adhere to buying conditions.

Job description

The Account Development Specialist is the image, face, and voice of Traction. You are accountable for building and maintaining quality business relationships with existing and new customers by implementing National, Regional and District-level sales development initiatives and promoting Traction parts and programs. The ADS contributes to keeping Traction abreast of customer behavior, competitive threats, and market trends. You will participate in the development and refinement of sales development initiatives at the district level. This is a regular full-time position and is located in Winnipeg. Specific Responsibilities Are
  • Call on installers to sell Traction parts and programs. Collaborate with various sales teams at the regional and corporate levels

To Join Our Team, You Need
  • Knowledge of the HV industry, or related experience
  • At least 2 to 3 years experience in sales, or knowledge form internal
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint (entry-level knowledge)
  • Capability to sell, persuade and convince external clients (B2B)
  • Ability to travel (70%)
  • Asset: College diploma / University degree in business or related course

The Heavy Vehicle Parts Division caters mainly to the needs of the trucking and construction sectors, as well as the mining and forest industries. HVPD is the largest network in the country, with more than 100 Traction heavy vehicle parts stores, 3 TW distribution centres, over 100 TruckPro repair centres, and 3 Cadel specialized parts distribution centres from coast to coast.
