Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a 3rd Cook for the Gallery Patio & Lounge. This full-time, in-person role supports the Sous Chef and Chef de partie, handling prep and basic cooking tasks in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will follow established recipes, assist with mise en place, and help maintain cleanliness and food safety. Ideal candidates have culinary training, food safety certification, and teamwork in a busy restaurant setting.

Qualifications

• Culinary diploma, apprenticeship or equivalent restaurant/cooking experience.
• Food Safe Level 1 certification or higher required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kgs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Review prep lists and assist with prep per BEO.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely; handle knives of various sizes.
• Collaborate with cooks to ensure smooth service during peak times.
