Job summary

Neelands Group is seeking a 313A HVAC Service Technician (Apprentice Term 4–5 or Journeyman) to join our team serving the Barrie area. This full-time role involves repair, installation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will work weekdays 7:30am–5:30pm with on-call after hours. Ideal candidates hold 313A status, a Gas License, and a clean G license with a good driving record.

Qualifications

• 313A Apprentice (Term 4 or 5) or Journeyman.
• Gas license required.
• Valid G license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and defects in RTUs, MUAs, boilers, and related systems.
• Troubleshoot to ensure systems function properly after repairs.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance on HVAC and mechanical equipment.
• Communicate status and updates clearly with the team and customers.
• Assist estimator with information for quotes and maintain vehicle inventory.

The Position:

Neelands is searching for a 313A HVACService Technician (Apprentice Term 4, 5 or Journeyman) to join our team servicing theBarrie area. This position is regular, full-time.

Reporting to the Service Manager, HVAC, the Service Technician will work closely with the team on repair, install, troubleshoot and preventative maintenance of HVAC & refrigeration systems. This role requires the individual to be available during the weekdays from 7:30am – 5:30pm for "on-call" and after-hours service calls from dispatch and/or prescheduled assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Response to service calls and scheduled maintenance and repairs for refrigeration and mechanical equipment;
• Perform diagnostics to detect malfunctions and defects in equipment such as RTU’s, MUA’s, Boilers, Light refrigeration
• Troubleshoot to ensure the system is functioning properly following repairs;
• Perform schedule and unscheduled repair and maintenance on HVAC, and mechanical equipment;
• Effectively communicate and update all information regarding assignments to the team;
• Provide recommendations and assist estimator with information on quote;
• Build and maintain positive relationship with customers or clients;
• Maintain service vehicle inventory and cleanliness;
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• 313A Apprentice (Term 4 or 5)
• Gas License
• Valid G license with a clean driver abstract;
