Qualifications

Key Responsibilities of a 310T Diesel Mechanic:
  • Perform vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and testing to determine repairs
  • Diagnose and repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical systems, and replace parts
  • Evaluate vehicles for safety and service needs
  • Verify vehicle serviceability and conduct test drives
  • Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles during repairs
  • Manage costs using warranty and evaluate repair options
  • Communicate with service advisors and dispatchers about additional work
  • Assist in writing work orders and interacting with customers
  • Keep inventory of parts and supplies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Document all work performed accurately
  • Stay updated on automotive terminology and technology
  • Adhere to attendance, punctuality, and company policies
Requirements for a 310T Diesel Mechanic:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Provincial License such as Red Seal / 310T, in good standing
  • Specialized training and experience in diagnosing major components
  • OEM training preferred
