Brandt Group of Companies, at the Ayr Peterbilt location, is seeking a 310T Truck & Coach Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain trucks, trailers, coaches, and buses in a shop environment.

You will use tools and computer systems to document maintenance, perform diagnostics, and coordinate with engineers for warranty work. Strong electrical/mechanical skills and a customer-service approach are essential for success.

Brandt is currently seeking a 310T Truck & Coach Technician for our Ayr Peterbilt location. This position is responsible for the diagnostics, repair and maintenance of trucks, trailers, coaches, and buses in a shop environment.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair on road equipment
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
• Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
• Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
• Work with equipment engineers to diagnose and fulfill warranty requirements
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
• Other duties as assigned

What We Look For

• Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade considered an asset
• Experience in CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines considered an asset
• Experience with electrical diagnosis /troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset
• Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment is considered an asset.
• Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
• Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with equipment engineers, the service team, and branch personnel.
• Outstanding knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems
• Proven computer/ technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work
• Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs
• Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure
• Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
