Waste Connections of Canada is the leader in non-hazardous solid waste management in North America. We are looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic - 310T for our Kingston facility.
Signing Bonus: $3,000.00
Shift: Day shift
Full Benefit package after 3 months of service

Responsibilities:
Perform inspections on trucks and equipment
Repair and maintain all trucks and equipment
Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups. Complete work according to Preventive Maintenance Programs.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance service and inspections, identifying and repairing any deficiencies
Ability to teach apprentices skills of the trade and proper techniques of repair
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal, communication skills, and organizational abilities.
Maintains a 310T mechanic License.
Mack Training is an asset
Willing to work in a team atmosphere, with the ability to work independently.
Detail-oriented and flexible approach to work assignments.
Accurately document work performed.
Complete work orders in a timely and accurate fashion.
Leads by example with integrity.
Maintain safe work habits and keep work area clean.
Participate in the elimination of safety hazards.
Own tools required.
A strong knowledge of Powertrains, Electrical troubleshooting, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic Systems, and After treatment Systems.
Work Environment: Job incumbents must be able to:
Work under adverse conditions including outside in any weather, around dirt, dust, and hazardous conditions such as broken glass and other hazards.
Frequent exposure to dust, fumes, smoke, gases, odors, and excessive noises.
Occasional exposure to chemicals, solvents, grease or oil, and slippery surfaces.
Be available to work any shift, and sometimes weekends.
