Work Locations available:

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain maintenance reports, work orders, and documentation as a Floor Truck Mechanic.
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
  • Diagnose and complete repairs safely, following company policies and manufacturer specifications.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts of automotive and truck systems including fuel systems, brakes, steering, suspension, engine, drivetrain, chassis, frame, cab, body, air brakes, emission control, exhaust, cooling, climate control, electrical, and electronic systems using hand tools and specialized repair equipment. (Aligned with duties as per NOC#72410)
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Communicate regularly with managers regarding repair status and concerns.
  • Support daily operations as part of a team.
  • Guide and instruct apprentices and junior team members.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, lubricants, and tune-ups.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop and equipment work area.
  • Suggest process or procedure improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Observe safe work practices.

Qualifications:

  • 310T or Red Seal License, or equivalent to challenge the provincial exam.
  • Over 4 years of experience in the trade.
  • Completed relevant training courses.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is an asset.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Experience with online preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ability to stand, lift 60 lbs, carry, bend, and twist for extended periods or repeatedly.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Punctual, reliable, and a team player.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Wage: Minimum $38.00/hour - $42.00/hour.

Full-time, permanent positions available in Woodstock, Smith Falls, or Napanee, Ontario.
