Job description

Agilus is recruiting for a 310T Mechanic in the Waste Management Sector in Kingston, Ontario. Our waste management client is hiring for a full-time, permanent, 310T Mechanic to work in their shop on large vehicles, conducting troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair as well as minor maintenance such as oil changes.

A typical day:
  1. Conduct inspections of trucks and company equipment.
  2. Repair, diagnose and maintain all trucks and company equipment.
  3. Conduct regular scheduled maintenance on trucks and equipment such as oil changes, tune-ups, and other aspects of the preventative maintenance program.
  4. Train junior mechanics and apprentices.
Successful candidates will have:
  1. Strong knowledge of powertrains, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems and after treatment systems.
  2. Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and a criminal background check.
  3. Willing to work in a team atmosphere, ability to work independently.
  4. Own tools required.
  5. Possess a 310T Mechanic License, Heavy Duty Mechanic License, Heavy Equipment Technician License, or equivalent, OR a 4th year apprentice in progress to securing their license.
Total rewards:
  1. $43.00 - $45.00 hourly
  2. Overtime over 8.5 hours/day.
