Canada Building Materials (CBM) Ready-Mix, a division of St Marys Cement and a proud subsidiary of VCNA, delivers top-quality ready-mix concrete across Ontario and Quebec. We support diverse construction projects, from residential to major infrastructure.

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Bowmanville fleet maintenance team to repair and maintain our ready-mix truck fleet and related mobile equipment. The role is full-time, requiring a 310T Licensed Fleet Mechanic.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled inspections, repairs, and service calls.
• Monitor preventative maintenance and ensure inspections are completed on schedule.
• Promote employee development through training and new programs.
• Assist in maintaining cost-effective department operations and meeting budget goals.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all vehicle systems.
• Operate equipment post-repair to verify issues are resolved.
• Maintain parts inventory and shop supplies levels.
• Keep a safe, clean work environment, following safety and environmental policies.
• Support safety programs and promote a safety-first culture.
• Provide on-site supervision as needed.

Qualifications

• Safety-oriented team player.
• Ability to work night shifts.
• Possess or working towards a 310T certificate; millwright training is an asset.
• Willingness to learn and share repair knowledge.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license.
• Ability to travel regularly; occasional overnight stays required.
