Job summary

GardaWorld Cash in Mississauga, ON is seeking a 310T Fleet Mechanic to support the Canadian Cash Logistics fleet. This permanent role entails maintaining fleet vehicles, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring regulatory inspections and PM schedules are met.

You will work in a fast-paced, unionized environment, balance multiple tasks, lead a team of technicians, and contribute to reducing maintenance costs while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance and transport maintenance in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors to resolve maintenance issues.
• Ensure vehicle availability >90% with operations leadership.
• Maintain and track repairs per program/process.
• Ensure assets meet regulatory inspection/certification requirements (CVI and PM schedules).
• Maintain stock parts and garage cleanliness and safety.
• Identify opportunities to reduce repair and maintenance costs.

We are hiring a 310-T Fleet Mechanic for our Canadian Cash Logistics Fleet & Diesel business. The position will be based in our Mississauga Branch.

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors to resolve accident and maintenance issues
• Coordinates with operations leadership to ensure vehicle availability over 90%
• Ensures that fleet vehicles are properly maintained and ensures all repairs are tracked in accordance with our accepted program and/or process(s)
• Works with operations leadership and vendors to ensure that assets meet regulatory inspection/certification requirements. CVI and PM schedules
• Maintain and order stock parts as needed
• Maintain overall functionality cleanliness and safety of the garage
• Present opportunities to reduce Repair & Maintenance costs and the overall cost of asset operation

What We Are Looking For

• Required: Possession of a valid 310-Tlicense
• Must be able to work with and in an armed and unionized environment
• Must have a valid full G driver’s license
• Minimum 5 years experience in fleet maintenance
• Knowledge of equipment maintenance
• Thorough understanding of transport maintenance and industry in general
• Strong technical skills in software applications such as – Outlook, Excel, Word
• Strong Electrical and Diagnostic scan tool Knowledge.
• Strong team player
• Must be able to balance multiple tasks and prioritize on a daily basis
• Must be comfortable with a fast paced environment
• Ability to manage a team of technicians
