Job summary

Midland Transport is seeking a 310T certified Truck & Trailer Mechanic for our Toronto Garage. The ideal candidate will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy‑duty trucks and trailers, using diagnostic tools and manuals to ensure safe operation.

Qualifications

• Red Seal 310T certification is required.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience post-certification preferred.
• Solid understanding of diesel engines, aftertreatment/electrical diagnostics & air brake systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy‑duty trucks.
• Complete routine maintenance and preventative service on engines, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, services, and repairs.
• Assist in identifying required parts and supplies for repair.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
• Reporting nonconforming situations.
• Other duties as assigned by the shop supervisor.

Midland Transport is currently looking for a 310T certified Truck & Trailer Mechanic at our Toronto Garage. The ideal candidates hold a Red Seal certification and have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

• Truck and Coach Technician 310T certificate (Red Seal).
• Two or more years of relevant, hands‑on experience post‑certification is preferred.
• Solid understanding of diesel engines, aftertreatment/electrical diagnostics & air brake systems; experience working on trailers is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
