Job description

We are seeking a skilled Power Engineer with a valid 2nd Class Certificate to join a dynamic industrial operation. This is a hands‑on role supporting steam plant and recovery systems, with the opportunity to step into a Utilities Shift Supervisor (USS) capacity. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application.

This position follows a consistent 4-on, 4-off schedule with 12-hour shifts, offering strong work‑life balance and predictable rotations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control processes and equipment within the steam plant and recovery area
  • Operate and maintain both low‑ and high‑pressure steam systems
  • Support production by operating turbines, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, and gas systems
  • Perform routine housekeeping and basic maintenance tasks
  • Execute isolations, lockouts, and issue safe work permits for utilities and process equipment
  • Step into USS responsibilities as needed to support operations
