Job summary

Kootenay-Columbia School District is seeking casual custodians to join the On-Call List, serving across our district including Rossland, Trail, Fruitvale, Castlegar and Robson. Casual work is not guaranteed and typically spans 3-5 days per week with potential for future permanent opportunities.

Qualifications include a Building Service Worker Certificate (or equivalent) and at least two years of related experience in a commercial/industrial setting. Application is encouraged for more details.

Job description

Kootenay-Columbia School District is looking for casual employees for the On-Call List for Custodians. Casual staff can expect to work 3-5 days a week; however, casual work cannot be guaranteed. Individuals looking to work in a rewarding team environment all across our School District (Rossland, Trail, Fruitvale, Castlegar, Robson) with the likelihood of attaining a permanent position in the future should apply immediately!

Qualifications

• Building Service Worker Course Certificate or equivalent, minimum of two (2) years of work experience as a custodian or building service worker in a commercial or industrial setting or an equivalent combination of training, education or experience

Job Details

• Rate of pay: $30.58 + 13.4% (in lieu of benefits) = $34.68. Premium of $0.35 for an afternoon shift.
• Hours of work: Afternoon shift between 2:00 pm and 11:00 pm. Day shift between 6:00 am and 2:30 pm.
