Job summary

Evergreen School Division invites applications for a temporary Educational Assistant at Winnipeg Beach School. The position runs ASAP to June 30, 2027, 0.75 hr/day from 8:15am to 9:00am.

The role involves supporting students academically, socially, and behaviorally, assisting with communication and speech-language activities, and helping with daily routines and library tasks. Child Abuse Registry and CRC checks are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Para Educator Certificate desired.
• Relevant training and experience.
• Course work in behavior management.
• Demonstrable computer/technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students academically, socially, and behaviorally.
• Assisting with communication and speech-language activities.
• Supporting individualized student programming.
• Assisting with supervision and daily routines.
• Assisting with library support duties, including acquisitions, cataloguing, assisting students and staff, book fairs, etc.
• Supporting student safety, personal care, and mobility needs as required.
