WAHE? Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) seeks a Purchaser in a hybrid Ontario role.

You will manage purchase orders, stock usage reports, requisitions for non-stock items, and monitor pricing, quantities, and delivery dates to support six communities in a remote region. The role requires a college diploma in business administration or supply chain management, a valid driver’s licence, and WHMIS training, with Cree language ability considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Timely processing of purchase orders generated from the stock usage report while assuring proper order quantities are maintained
• Processing of verified purchase requisitions for non‑stock items
• Monitoring purchase orders and confirming pricing, package size, order quantities and delivery dates are accurate
• Source new products/price quotations and provide information to requestors and management when requested
• Monitor usage trends on all inventory items, review order points to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained
• Filing and keeping organized records for all purchase order documentation
• Follow up and expedite all purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods

What We Do

There has never been a more exciting time to be at WAHA. We are an integrated health system providing the full continuum of care to the six communities of the western James Bay coast with over 500 employees, physicians, and partners in care. As a health authority, you will work in a unique setting where you have the opportunity to care for patients in all phases of their life journey, in all areas of their health experience. From Primary, Acute, and Mental Health, Dental, Specialty Clinics, Population Health and the WAHA Paramedic Service, the opportunities for growth are boundless. We provide community-based programming in all six of our communities, have six paramedic bases, three hospitals, four emergency departments, one community health centre and a total of 72 beds. Salary: $54,912.00 - $68,659.50
