Job summary

The Greater Victoria School District is seeking aSchool Psychologist to work across schools within the GVSD #61 region. The role focuses on assessment, consultation, and the development of instructional and behavioral supports for students with diverse needs.

Applicants should hold a Master’s in School Psychology, be CHCPBC licensed, and capable of collaborating with educators, families, and district staff to design effective learning interventions.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in School Psychology or related field with a focus on school psychology, including graduate training in measurement and individual psychological assessments.
• Proven ability to consult with teachers, parents, students and community agencies regarding student needs and educational implications.
• Experience collaborating with school/district personnel to design or implement instructional/behavioral interventions.
• Knowledge of Ministry of Education, Special Education Policies and Procedures.
• Licensed under CHCPBC.
• Meets GVSD #61 qualifications criteria.
• Level C Testing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in collaborating with school-based and/or district personnel to design or implement instructional strategies, and design or implement behavioural interventions
• Knowledge of the Ministry of Education, Special Education Policies and Procedures
• Licensed under College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
• Meet criteria as outlined in “Qualifications for Teaching Positions in the GVSD #61′
• Level C Testing
