Job summary

The Near North District School Board invites applications for an Intermediate Grade 7/8 Teacher LTO, from November 13, 2026 to early return of the teacher. The position requires an OCT certificate, OCT registration, intermediate qualifications, and asset consideration for Math specialization.

Applicants should be adept with Ministry curricula and assessment documents, experienced with Apple software and devices, and able to support at-risk learners while integrating technology for documentation

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate.
• Must hold a valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers.
• Must possess Intermediate Qualifications and be eligible to teach at the Intermediate level.
• Math Specialist designation is an asset for this role.

• Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents

• Evidence of understanding of varied learners with a focus on ‘at-risk’ students
• Evidence of supporting Literacy and Numeracy from a whole school perspective
• Evidence of integration of technology for the documentation and evaluation of student work
• Ability to work as part of a school team and to communicate effectively
• Demonstrated ability to utilize EDSBY to support student learning and guardian communication
