Job summary

Superior North Catholic District School Board is seeking an Educational Assistant for Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Manitouwadge. The 1.0 FTE permanent position starts as soon as possible, supporting a full range of learners, including students with special needs, alongside teachers and staff.

Candidates should have an Educational Assistant diploma or related credential. One year of experience is preferred; strong collaboration, patience and empathy are essential to help with

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate as an Educational Assistant, Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker or related program.
• Minimum of one-year experience is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with students, including those with special needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration with teachers, administrators and outside agencies.

• Provide instructional, behaviour and student support.
• Collaborate with teachers and outside agencies to support student needs.

Salary : $25.58-$32.98 /Hour - Competitive Compensation and Benefits Packages

Position Qualifications

Diploma or certificate as an Educational Assistant, Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker or related program.

Minimum of one-year experience is preferred.

Ability to work effectively with a full range of students, including students with special needs, utilizing specific skills and training.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators and outside agencies.

Ability to provide instructional, behaviour and student support.

Ability to use patience, empathy and understanding in developing and maintaining a rapport with students and in resolving problems or issues that may arise.

Minimum of one-year experience is preferred.

Conditions of Employment:
