ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in Brazil. The successful candidate will take the lead in identifying high-value logistics opportunities, developing and maintaining a strong sales pipeline, and driving growth in project logistics in line with our global strategy.

This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication and research skills, and a genuine interest in international project logistics. You will work closely with our local, regional, and global offices to promote Bertling’s full-service logistics offering and strengthen our presence across Brazil’s energy and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue high-value project logistics opportunities in Brazil, particularly in the mining, oil & gas, renewables, and power sectors.
  • Research market trends, major capital projects, and key decision-makers to build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline.
  • Develop, update, and sustain a targeted sales concept and business development plan in line with Bertling’s strategic priorities.
  • Represent Bertling to clients and prospects with professionalism, integrity, and deep knowledge of project logistics.
  • Leverage Bertling’s strengths in engineering, digital tools (such as our proprietary BLU4U platform ), and sustainability solutions to tailor winning proposals.
  • Collaborate effectively with operational teams, technical staff, and commercial colleagues across Brazil and globally.
  • Maintain CRM discipline by updating leads, opportunities, and key activities in a structured and transparent manner.
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, support tenders, and contribute to contract negotiation strategies.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to raise brand visibility and gather market intelligence.
  • Working with regional and global tendering teams to ensure that our tender participation reflects our professionalism and that corporate standards are adhered to.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience in international freight forwarding and/or project logistics, ideally with exposure to energy sector projects.
  • Passion for logistics, engineering solutions, and complex cargo transport.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent market research skills and ability to proactively identify and qualify leads.
  • Understanding of the Brazilian logistics and project landscape is a strong advantage.
  • Confident communicator in both Portuguese and English (verbal and written).
  • Familiarity with digital tools and CRM systems; experience with BLU4U or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently as well as part of a wider international team.
