As a Vendor Account Manager - Imports, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver the importation selection strategy to customers. The Cross Border team is looking for a smart, customer-centric, driven, and analytical candidate to develop and implement demand-generating initiatives, from deals and promotions to catalog quality. You will interface with stakeholders across Retail and Finance and be responsible for multiple aspects of growing international selection for customers. You will engage directly with internal teams to optimize and grow the importation business for global vendors on Amazon.

You will utilize a wide range of skills across major functional areas such as selection, catalog quality, buying, inventory management, finance, and operations to drive the performance of vendor partners. Your focus will be on managing customer relationships with vendors.

You will conceive, create, and analyze a variety of deal activities to grow vendor traffic, brand awareness, customer conversion, and revenue on Amazon. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at an innovative online retailer and develop strong skills in online merchandising, marketing, buying, planning, forecasting, pricing, and business analysis.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding, and reporting on events, with responsibility for driving strategic promotions to meet business objectives.
  2. Proactively negotiating promotional opportunities and other business inputs for vendors autonomously.
  3. Conducting pricing and ROI analysis and making recommendations to optimize profit margins.
  4. Ensuring excellent catalog quality for international selection, focusing on improving sales conversion and customer experience.
  5. Partnering with Cross Border Vendor Managers and Selection Program Managers to develop demand generation strategies and growth plans.
  6. Measuring success through performance metrics and impact on customer experience.
  7. Optimizing online product presence and content.
  8. Developing and executing marketing plans to increase brand awareness and purchases.
  9. Driving cross-category initiatives to improve operational processes and results.

Qualifications include:

  • Higher education completed.
  • Experience in account management, product or program management.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to analyze KPIs and contribute insights.
  • Experience negotiating with suppliers, managing prices, promotions, inventory, and product development.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
