DESCRIPTION

As an Vendor Account Manager - Imports, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver the Importation selection strategy to customers. The Cross Border team is looking for smart, customer-centric, driven, and analytical candidates to develop and implement demand-generating initiatives, from deals and promotions to catalog quality. You will interface with stakeholders across Retail and Finance and be responsible for multiple aspects of growing international selection for customers. You will engage directly with multiple internal teams to optimize and grow the importation business for global vendors on Amazon.


You will utilize a wide range of skills and work across major functional areas such as selection, catalogue quality, buying, inventory management, finance, and operations to drive the performance of vendor partners at Amazon. Your focus will be on managing customer relationships with vendors.


You will conceive, create, and analyze a wide range of deal activities to grow vendor traffic, brand awareness, customer conversion, and revenue on Amazon. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the most innovative online retailer and develop strong functional skills in online merchandising, marketing, buying, planning and forecasting, pricing, and business analysis.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding, and reporting on events, with responsibility for driving strategic promotions to achieve business objectives
  2. Proactively negotiating promotional opportunities and other business inputs for vendors autonomously
  3. Conducting pricing and ROI analysis and making recommendations for initiatives that optimize profit margins
  4. Ensuring high catalog quality for international selection, focusing on improving sales conversion and customer experience
  5. Partnering with the Cross Border Vendor Managers and Selection Program Managers to build successful demand generation strategies and growth plans
  6. Measuring success by the performance of your input metrics and impact on creating a great customer experience
  7. Optimizing the online presence and content of each product in the brand's portfolio
  8. Developing and executing marketing plans to drive awareness and purchases
  9. Driving cross-category initiatives to improve operational processes and deliver results
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Completed higher education
  • Experience in account management, product management, or program management
  • Experience with project management
  • Ability to analyze and monitor key KPIs and contribute insights
  • Experience in negotiations with suppliers, pricing, promotions, inventory management, and product development
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Intermediate to advanced English skills
