Jobtailor is seeking a technically hands-on lead developer to steer a cloud-based .NET platform. You will define architecture, set coding standards, and serve as the main engineering reference while continuing to contribute code and reviews.

You will shape microservices, decide on persistence with SQL Server and MongoDB, and oversee observability using Datadog. The role includes mentoring, governance of AI tool usage, and close collaboration with Product and Architecture to prioritize deliveries.

• Lead development team by defining standards, architecture, and technical direction.
• Hands-on in code — implementation, code reviews, and proofs‑of‑concepts.
• Design and evolve microservices architecture and high‑scale distributed systems in .NET.
• Make technical decisions regarding persistence (SQL Server and MongoDB), messaging, and integration patterns.
• Define and promote best practices for Clean Code, SOLID, design patterns, and testing strategies.
• Ensure resilience, performance, and observability of cloud services (Azure and AWS) using Datadog.
• Lead adoption of AI tools in the development flow, with governance and critical judgment.
• Mentor and develop the team technically, raising the engineering level.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Team Lead on technical feasibility and prioritization of deliveries.
• Drive technical trade‑off decisions, manage technical debt, and plan the platform evolution roadmap.
