A Wabtec Corporation está buscando um Systems Engineer para atuar em Contagem, MG, com foco no desenvolvimento e implantação do Trip Optimizer™ Energy Management. Você trabalhará com gestão de produtos e clientes ferroviários para entregar soluções automotivas de alto nível.

O papel envolve design de sistemas embarcados, integração com equipes globais e participação em revisões técnicas, com disponibilidade para viagens nacionais e internacionais e atuação presencial.

Qualificações

• Experiência prática em design, desenvolvimento de requisitos e implementação em sistemas de engenharia e/ou informação.
• Fortes habilidades analíticas e de resolução de problemas.
• Ótimas habilidades de comunicação oral e escrita e capacidade de trabalhar em ambiente global e cross-functional.

Responsabilidades

• Liderar e contribuir para conceitos futuros e melhorias de design do produto Trip Optimizer™ de acordo com padrões de negócio e requisitos do produto/programa.
• Traduzir necessidades/requisitos do cliente, resolver questões de especificação e manter comunicação técnica com equipes transversais.
• Participar de projetos com equipes globais (Product/Program Management, SW COE, Electrical Integration, Train Control, Office Systems, Safety, Validation e Applications Engineering).
• Trabalhar com a comunidade científica da Wabtec e especialistas para desenvolver soluções de automação ferroviária e avaliá‑las em campo.

Essa posição é para atuar em regime presencial, em Contagem, MG.

Who will you be working with?

Wabtec’s Trip Optimizer™ System is an intelligent, fuel-saving cruise control for locomotives that optimizesfuel consumption based on a specific train’s make up and route traveled. As the Systems Engineer, you will work closely with Product Management and railroad customers to develop world class solutions that bring advanced automation to the rail industry.

How will you make a difference?

As the System Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development and deployment of Wabtec’s Trip Optimizer™ Energy Management product. You will contribute to future concepts and design enhancements for the Trip Optimizer™ product using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
• Hands-on design experience, requirements development and implementation experience involving; Engineering Systems, Hardware / Software Engineering, and/or Data Information Systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, global environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

What will your typical day look like?

• Lead and contribute to future concepts and design enhancements for the Trip Optimizer™ product using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
• Translate customer needs / requirements, resolve specification issues, handle technical correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure customer satisfaction, and coordinate with cross-functional teams as appropriate.
• Participate on projects across global cross-functional teams (Product / Program Management, SW COE, Electrical Integration, Train Control, Office Systems, Safety, Validation and Applications Engineering) assuring “cradle to grave” success.
• Work with Wabtec’s scientific community and railroad subject matter experts to develop freight automation solutions, evaluate them in field trials and produce the solutions to function in a railroad revenue environment.
• Lead and participate in technical and program reviews.
• Maintain broad awareness of technical trends to ensure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work, and reviews and responsiveness to customer/program needs.
• Desired experience with prior system design experience with on-board distributed systems architecture.
• Knowledge of AAR and CENELEC standards for the rail industry.
