Position Purpose
A Systems Operations Engineer supports and maintains the technical infrastructure that enables business operations, analyzing system requirements, building and integrating complex systems, troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of IT environments. The engineer works closely with cross‑functional teams—including software engineers, network administrators, security teams, and project managers—to deliver reliable and efficient solutions.
Responsibilities
- Configure, test, and deploy mission‑critical systems within the assigned scope.
- Deploy, install, maintain, and repair systems across the enterprise and provide technical support for associated applications.
- Provide advanced-level troubleshooting for server infrastructure, responding to escalated tickets beyond level 1 and 2 help desk support.
- Follow up on escalated tickets, providing timely status updates.
- Administer systems and environment solutions for multiple projects with varying schedules.
- Select appropriate methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Interface with vendors and internal groups for trouble calls.
- Perform all work in compliance with warranty requirements.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements regarding system deployment and access.
- Optional responsibilities may be added as needed.
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing Windows Server systems.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in systems administration and/or design.
- Minimum 3 years of experience administering and managing VMware vCenter.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure deployments, environments, and services (IaaS, PaaS, virtual machines, Active Directory, automation, monitoring, OMS) preferred.
- Preferred scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments.
- Detail‑oriented and capable of working independently and within a team.
- Ability to document processes and policies in a clear, easy‑to‑follow format.
- Preferred understanding of VDI design, architecture, and maintenance.
- Solid understanding of backup technologies and methodologies.
- Knowledge of NAS or SAN technologies and their operation.

- Knowledge of NetApp, Tintri, and Pure Storage.
- Experience with Cisco UCS.
- Experience with VMware ESXi (installation, configuration, upgrade, and management).
- Knowledge of Cohesity and Commvault backup solutions.
Education / Certification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related studies preferred.
Working Environment
- Hybrid (in‑office): 4 days per week.
