Are you driven by problem solving? Do you thrive working with complex and large equipment? We are looking for a Service Technician with Mechanical and Hydraulic expertise.

The role involves executing service, repair, and maintenance work, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairing advanced hydraulic and mechanical equipment within the MacGregor product range, and third-party equipment if needed.

Ideal candidates will have experience in the offshore, ship, or rig equipment sectors, working with products like winches, cranes, and steering gears, primarily focusing on mechanical and hydraulic systems. You should be customer-oriented, cooperative, and possess good communication skills to effectively share information within the team.

This position requires travel to client sites, vessels, or shipyards worldwide. Our clients are primarily domestic but also international, including Europe, the US, China, Australia, Singapore, and beyond. Flexibility and willingness to travel are essential. Our office and workshop are located in Rio de Janeiro, and local work may be assigned, so residing nearby is necessary.

This role is part of our Global Services Division, reporting directly to the Operations Superintendent.

• Perform planned and corrective maintenance/repairs, including onboard inspections
• Continuously improve and stay informed on relevant developments, routines, and news
• Provide reports and information in English as required
• Follow all safety, working practices, and environmental regulations

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Technical education in Mechanical or Hydraulic engineering at college level
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
• Experience with winches, cranes, and steering gear is highly valued
• Ability to work flexible hours and be available for short-notice travel
• Proven experience with professional computer systems
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
