We are seeking a remote Senior System Engineer with expertise in Data DevOps and experience working with Kafka. The ideal candidate must have significant experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Kafka, Zookeeper, Git, GitLab CI, and AWS.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain automated systems using Terraform
2. Build and deploy Kubernetes clusters and microservices
3. Manage infrastructure and ensure smooth operation of Kafka as a Service
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and data scientists
5. Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and support as needed

Requirements

1. 3+ years of experience as a System Engineer with a focus on Data DevOps
2. Expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, Kafka, Zookeeper, Git, GitLab CI, AWS
3. Experience with Kafka ecosystem tools, REST Proxy, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams
4. Proficient in Telegraf, Azure, and JMX monitoring tools
5. Strong understanding of EKS infrastructure, Networking, Deployments, Sidecar pattern
6. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
