Senior Software Engineer (FinTech)

Location: Brazil, Peru, Chile, or Argentina (Remote)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 USD annually

LMKRecruiting Solutions is conducting a search on behalf of a fast-growing, venture-backed FinTech company on a mission to modernize outdated infrastructure and streamline complex financial processes. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in a startup environment and is excited to help shape the core product and architecture of a rapidly scaling platform.

This role is fully remote, and candidates must be located in Brazil, Peru, Chile, or Argentina.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the development of scalable backend services and APIs using modern technologies.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and design to build features that directly impact users.
3. Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and overall technical strategy.
4. Own and improve the reliability, performance, and security of key systems.
5. Maintain high engineering standards and mentor junior developers when needed.

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development experience using modern frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Go, Python).
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth startups or FinTech environments is a plus.
• Solid understanding of API design, data structures, and distributed systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote-first culture.
