As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize the platform infrastructure that enables high-scale software delivery. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the Developer Experience by creating and improving tools, systems, and processes. You will collaborate closely with teams, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices in automation, security, and scalability. You will take ownership of critical platform components and contribute to strategic decisions, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.

Job responsibilities

1. Lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable and secure platform infrastructure.
2. Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automation and fast feedback loops.
3. Ensure the platform meets high availability, reliability, and performance standards.
4. Troubleshoot complex platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
5. Manage and optimize containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools.
6. Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for scalable resource management.
7. Lead initiatives to improve DevOps and GitOps practices across the organization.
8. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
9. Propose and execute platform optimization strategies, balancing cost and performance.

Job Qualifications

Technical Skills

1. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
2. Expertise in GCP, including serverless and advanced networking.
3. Deep understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and GKE.
4. Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, NewRelic.
5. Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
6. Ability to implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.
7. Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and NoSQL databases.
8. Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and GitOps automation.
9. Knowledge of performance tuning, cost optimization, and platform scaling.
