Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Specialist Solutions Architect for databases within the WWSO Startup team in São Paulo, Brazil. You will help startups adopt AWS database solutions and other offerings, shaping reference architectures and scalable playbooks.

In this role you’ll engage with startup executives and developers, deliver blueprints and workshops, and influence product roadmaps through field feedback. A strong background in databases and cloud architectures is essential.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of deep technical experience in diverse Databases, with a bigger focus on modern and open source technologies.
• Deep Expertise in configuring, operating and querying databases on production workloads.
• Experience with Software development practices and processes.

• Interact with CxO/VP level to drive adoption, pipeline, lighthouse customers and revenue.
• Provide Technical Thought Leadership within customer accounts.
• Develop scalable technical assets, including code samples, workshops, reference architectures, patterns and technical articles; deploy programs with AWS Field teams and partner channels.
• Collaborate with AWS Product teams to influence roadmaps and gather feedback.
• Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them integrate new AWS solutions into customer architectures.

Join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Startup team as a Specialist Solutions Architect focused on Databases!

This position specifically is part of the WWSO Startup team, where you will be a Specialist Solution Architect that helps Startups adopt AWS’ technologies with a focus on Amazon’s Databases solutions, among others. You will 1/Be the best storytellers and technologists, 2/Work with the most promising Startups, 3/Scale tech knowledge via products, programs, and the AWS Field, and 4/Gather critical Startup feedback to inform our product roadmaps.

Key job responsibilities

• Interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as with developers and technical architects, to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
• Become a trusted advisor within customer accounts through Technical Thought Leadership.
• Develop scalable technical assets, including code samples, workshops, reference architectures, patterns and technical articles and deploy programs that leverage AWS Field Solution Architect teams, as well as technology and consulting partner channels.
• Collaborate with AWS Product teams to provide feedback and influence the AWS product roadmap.
• Guide and Support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts aligned to your domains. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate new AWS solutions into customer architectures.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of deep technical experience in diverse Databases, with a bigger focus on modern and open source technologies
• Deep Expertise in configuring, operating and querying databases on production workloads (this position is for a Database expert)
• Experience with Software development practices and processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Technical Executive capacity.
• Familiarity with open-source software used by Startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies common to Startups.
• Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developers.
• Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
• Proficiency with design, deployment, and evaluation of LLM-powered agents and tools and orchestration approaches.
• Advanced degree highly preferred such as engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
