Amazon is seeking a seasoned leader to head a team of Solutions Architects focused on accelerating AWS adoption among startups worldwide. You will mentor engineers, engage with customers, and influence product teams to build startup-friendly cloud solutions.

This regional role requires strong business and technical acumen, cross-cultural communication in English and Portuguese, and willingness to travel. You’ll shape technical guidance and scalable architectures for early-stage companies.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of managing technical, enterprise customer-facing resources.
• 5+ years of infrastructure and networking architecture experience.
• Bachelor's degree.

Description

Would you like to lead a team focused on increasing adoption of AWS cloud within the startup ecosystem? Do you have the business acumen and the technical background necessary to help startups around the world?

Startups are the large enterprises of the future. These young companies are founded by ambitious people who have a desire to build something meaningful and to challenge the status quo. To address underserved customers, or to challenge incumbents. They usually operate in an environment of scarcity: whether that’s capital, engineering resource, or experience. This is where you and your team come in.

We are looking for technical builders who love the idea of working with early stage startups to help them as they grow. In this role, you’ll manage a team of Solutions Architects that work directly with a variety of customers and help them make the best (and sometimes the most pragmatic) technical decisions along the way.

As well as spending time working directly with customers, you’ll also get plenty of time to “sharpen the saw” and keep your skills fresh. We have more than 200 services across a range of different categories and it’s important that we can help startups take advantages of the right ones.

You and your team will also play an important role as advocates with our product teams to make sure we are building the right products for the startups you work with.

Key job responsibilities

• Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solution Architects from internal and external sources.

• Build and coach the team on the skills needed to conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions so they can transfer deep technical skills to customers who are considering or using AWS.

• Educate startup customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.

• Guide and motivate the development of white-papers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices to influence early stage startup.

• This is a regional role; expect moderate travel.

• Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience

• Bachelor's degree

• Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.

• Business Communication in English and Portuguese

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
