China Construction(South Pacific) Development Company Pte Ltd is seeking a Civil Site Engineer to supervise and coordinate daily site activities on road diversion, widening, and reinstatement works. You will plan utilities diversion and protection, coordinate with LTA/PUB and other authorities, and ensure works meet approved drawings and requirements.
You will review drawings, manage traffic measures, monitor earthworks and pavements, and liaise with surveyors to verify levels and coordinates.
Job Scope
Supervise and coordinate daily site activities for road diversion, road widening, road improvement and reinstatement works.
Plan and coordinate utilities diversion and protection works, including water, sewer, drainage, power, telecom and other existing services.
Coordinate with LTA, PUB, utility agencies, consultants, subcontractors and relevant authorities to ensure works comply with approved drawings and requirements.
Review construction drawings, method statements, shop drawings and technical submissions, and resolve site technical issues promptly.
Manage temporary traffic diversion, traffic management measures and road opening/closure arrangements in coordination with the Traffic Management team.
Monitor earthworks, excavation, pavement, kerbs, drainage, road base, asphalt paving and reinstatement works to ensure quality and specifications are met.
Coordinate utility trial trenches, detection, diversion, temporary support and reinstatement works while minimising disruption to existing services.
Conduct site inspections, monitor work progress and ensure construction activities are carried out according to the approved method statement, sequence and programme.
Liaise with surveyors to verify setting-out, levels, alignment and coordinates for road and utility works.
Prepare and maintain daily reports, progress records, inspection requests, site records and as-built information.
Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor manpower, equipment, materials and productivity to meet project schedules.
Identify potential construction risks, technical constraints and interface issues, and propose practical solutions to the Project Manager.
Ensure all works comply with LTA/PUB requirements, approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and WSH requirements.
Monitor testing and inspection for road and utility works, including relevant material, compaction, drainage and pavement tests.
Coordinate final road reinstatement, temporary works removal and handover upon completion of diversion works.
Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of relevant site experience in Singapore construction/infrastructure projects.
Strong experience in road diversion, road widening, road reinstatement and utilities diversion.
Experience working with LTA/PUB or other Singapore government infrastructure projects will be advantageous.
Familiar with traffic diversion, utility coordination, excavation, drainage, earthworks and road pavement works.
Able to read and interpret civil, road, drainage and utility drawings.
Good coordination skills with consultants, authorities and subcontractors.
Able to work independently and manage multiple site activities under tight project schedules.
Familiar with Singapore construction regulations, safety and quality requirements.
LTA/BCS/RE-related experience or certification will be an advantage.
