The project: We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Engineerfor this fully remote opportunityto work with a US-based client in the mortgage insurance industry. You should havestrong testing fundamentals and solid hands-on experience in BDD with Cucumber, API validation (REST and SOAP), and end-to-end automated testing.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement BDD test scenarios using Cucumber.

• Validate RESTful APIs (POST, DELETE, etc.) and SOAP services, designing detailed and robust test cases.

• Develop automated tests using tools such as RestAssured (for API testing) and Playwright (for end-to-end testing).

• Identify edge cases and hidden requirements within test flows.

• Collaborate with the development team to define test coverage KPIs and suggest improvements (e.g., via tools like Sonar).

• Communicate clearly in English with international teams and work independently.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in quality control.

•Proficient in Cucumber and automated API testing tools like Rest Assured.

• Experience with Playwright or similar tools for UI automation.

• Good understanding of SOAP web service testing.

• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking in identifying testingcoverage gaps.

• Advanced written and spoken level of English.

•Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines(Jenkins, Github Actions, or similar tools).

•Experience with non-functionaltesting, with Jmeter or Gatling.
